About the Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins began as the Washington Senators in the American League in 1901. In 1961, the team moved to Minnesota and was renamed the Twins. The team has won three World Series, in 1924, 1987 and 1991. Notable alumni include Rod Carew and Harmon Killebrew. The Twins are in the American League Central Division.
