About the San Francisco Giants

 

The Giants began in 1883 known then as the Gothams playing in New York. The team moved to San Francisco in 1958.  The 

Giants have won four World Series, in 1905, 1921, 1922, and 1954. Most recently the Giants appeared in and lost the 2002 World Series.  Notable alumni include Willie McCovey, Mel Ott and Barry Bonds.  The Giants play in the National League West Division.
