About the Golden State Warriors

The team began in 1946 in Philadelphia and moved to San Francisco in 1962. The team moved to Oakland and became the Golden State Warriors in 1971. The Warriors have won three NBA Titles in 1947, 1956 and 1975. Notable alumni include Wilt Chamberlain, and Rick Barry. The Warriors play in the Pacific Division.
